Quick trip out to Colorado. Hit Denver, Idaho Springs, Golden, Aspen, Independence Pass, Old Falls Road, Alpine Ridge, and the Rockies of course. Camera got another workout! :) Here’s some highlights:

Got out to Yosemite National Park. Another surreal environment of beautiful mountains and scenery. Managed to get some astrophotography once again. And a lot of hiking! :)

Got out to Yellowstone/Grand Teton parks! Wildlife, Waterfalls, Geysers, Basins, Mountains. Even got some night shots again. Weather was great. The earth has some interesting geological events goin on! :)

Returning from an August 2021 trip to the Utah Arches, & Canyonlands. Beautiful scenery! Managed to get some night photography in once again. Couldn’t ask for a better location! The night skies are one of the darkest. And it was a New Moon!

Vieques, Puerto Rico 2019 /  by Mike Ian

Just returned from Vieques, PR trip. As usual brought my camera gear. Had an awesome time. Stayed in a nice jungle-like AirBnB, Casa Baraka. Highly recommend! Took the Cessna plane from San Juan airport. My first time on a small aircraft. Very cool. Did the Bio-Bay, Got a scooter for the week. Did the whole island- it’s only 21 miles long. Good eats!

Melbourne 2019! /  by Mike Ian

Made it back to Melbourne, Australia this month to see my daughter Ivy once again. We had a wonderful time. We traveled west this time along the Great Ocean Road. Here we saw the famous “12 Apostles” rock formations and a slew of other formations along the coastline. I managed to get some astro-photography in too. All in all, another great trip! Niagara Falls in Winter /  by Mike Ian

I always wanted to go to Niagara Falls during the winter season. So I finally got around to it! Took the 7 hour drive with camera gear in tow. I stayed on the NY side and crossed the border the next day. The falls weren’t quite as frozen as I wished, but still managed to get some “icy” shots.

Vegas/Death Valley /  by Mike Ian

Just got back from another venture.  This time Las Vegas and Death Valley.  First off, Vegas.  What can I say.  Bright lights, lots of people, lots of food, and fountains!  Managed to get some tripod shots amongst the crowds!

And Death Valley.  Wow.  What a place(desert!)  This was my most adventurous trip thus far.  I rented a 4x4 Jeep and hit some hard core spots in the valley- like Racetrack Playa and Titus Canyon.  And managed to get some astro photography in. -Very scary to do out there if you're alone btw!  But I survived.  Highly recommend this spot if you're into night photography!
